This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal and business information when you utilize our taxi booking, corporate, and transportation services.

  1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services:

  • Account & Profile Information: Your name, phone number, email address, and saved favorite locations (like “Home” or “Work”) when you register an account.
  • Location Data: Your pickup and drop-off coordinates.
  • Corporate Account Data: Company name, authorized employee profiles, corporate billing addresses, and centralized payment credentials.
  • Payment Information: Credit card details are collected securely via our encrypted, third-party payment processor if you place a card on file. We do not store raw credit card data on our servers.
  • Device Data: Technical information from your phone, such as device type and operating system, to ensure app performance.
  1. User-Controlled Location Tracking

We respect your privacy preferences and give you complete control over how your location is shared:

  • Passenger Selection: When downloading and opening our mobile app, you select your preferred tracking location settings.
  • Foreground Tracking: If selected, the app only accesses your location while actively open on your screen to pin your pickup point.
  • Background Tracking: If you grant permission, the app tracks your route from dispatch to taxi arrival even if the app is minimized or your screen is locked. You can alter or revoke these permissions at any time through your device’s native settings.
  1. Corporate Account Privacy

We provide dedicated privacy protections for our corporate clients:

  • Data Isolation: Information collected under a corporate profile is used strictly to manage business travel, issue corporate billing, and generate trip statements.
  • Employee Privacy: While trip details (dates, times, routes, and fares) are visible to your company’s designated account administrator for auditing purposes, an employee’s personal account data outside of business travel remains private.
  • Confidentiality: Corporate routing data and business patterns are kept strictly confidential and are never shared with outside commercial entities.
  1. SMS & Mobile Communication

We use SMS text messaging primarily to manage your live transit experience:

  • Transactional Updates: When you book a ride, you will receive text messages containing current updates, including trip confirmations, dispatch assignments, and notifications when your taxi has arrived.
  • Marketing Limitations: We perform very little SMS marketing. If we ever send promotional or fleet updates via text, you will be given an explicit choice to opt-in, and you can reply “STOP” at any time to opt-out.
  • No Sharing of SMS Consent: Your SMS opt-in consent and mobile phone number will not be shared, sold, or rented to third parties for marketing purposes.
  1. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only to execute your transportation requests:

  • With Drivers: Drivers receive your name, pickup location, and destination to complete your ride safely.
  • With Corporate Admins: Individual trip logs booked under a corporate account are shared directly with the corporate account holder.
  • For Legal Compliance: As a fully licensed fleet regulated by the local police departments and Massachusetts authorities, we may disclose data if strictly required by law or subpoena to protect public safety.
  1. Data Security & Retention

We enforce rigorous digital security measures. All data transmitted between our app, website, and servers is protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption. We retain trip histories, corporate logs, and transaction records only for as long as required to comply with local Massachusetts regulatory, tax, and legal accounting obligations.

  1. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You can view, edit, or remove your saved locations and payment cards directly within the mobile app. If you wish to permanently delete your personal or corporate account, please submit a deletion request through the app or contact us directly at choran.greencab@yahoo.com.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect fleet upgrades or shifts in Massachusetts transportation laws. Any updates will be posted to greenandyellowcab.com with an updated effective date.
